I really wish I were present during the brainstorming session of this ad campaign for "Rice Flakes". At what point did someone present the idea of using an offensive stereotype to market this product and how did it go from an idea, passing all sorts of approval points, to ending up in magazines!? This particualr ad, I found in Claudia, a Polish women's magazine. There are so many appropriate routes these people could have taken to sell rice cereal, but instead they basically did some free association and ended up with: Rice = Asian food = chinky eyes! Wow, good one geniuses...
I especially love the little girl's hairdo. Why not stick chopsticks in there while you're at it?

ha, ha ha ha HAAA!!! That reminds me of the ice-cream ad I saw in Bilbao. It was like Sambo, but more racist. I think it was for chocolate ice-cream. On the bright side, you're keeping current with Polish Women's issues.
