Tonight I attended my first grad school art opening. A few
classmates of mine are part of an exhibit called
This is a Show About Rock and Roll at The Gelman Gallery in the
Chase Center. The exhibit was in essence about
"artists who are musicians, artists who just wish that they were, and artists whose work echoes in the in-between."
Next month, I'll have the opportunity to show some of my work when me and my fellow graphic design grad students exhibit work at the
Sol Koffler Gallery. As of now, the theme, context, and basic framework for the show has not been set—nor has any work been done on my part. I'll be posting an update once we figure things out. The opening is at least known: Thursday, October 15, from 7-9 PM.
